Tyler Gibson - Youth and Young Adult Pastor
Hello world! I believe you already have seen my name, but if not, my name is Tyler Gibson and I am the current Youth and Young Adults pastor at St. Simon's Anglican NV Church. The mission that I feel God has called me to do is to bring up and train the current and next generation to be authentic leaders willing to go out to wherever God is calling them to. I feel that God has given me the gift to teach and to lead, so I pursue in teaching others how to lead. My goal is to see the people that I equip, to continue to train others and to continue on. As for the talents God has given me, one of the greatest and most fun is that of music. Whether it is playing or singing at a church, to participating in an orchestra setting, to playing an upbeat concert at a youth seminar, I love to play music wherever God leads me. The other talent I feel God has given me is my ability to listen and encourage all those around me. It could be a troubled young adult talking to me about how his/her life is a wreck and needs help, or a couple asking about relationship advice. God has given me the ability to listen and He responds through me with His wisdom. God is so good in all that He does and how He works.
As for what is my life outside of ministry work, I still love to play and listen to music in all forms. I also like to watch the occasional television series and perhaps play a video game or two. One of the things that is so enjoyable though is spending time with my beautiful wife. Whether it is eating together, or playing the board game “Ticket to Ride”, or just relaxing with each other, we spend as much time together as we can. Besides being involved with St Simon’s NV as the youth and young adult pastor, I am also the Detailer at Jim Pattison Hyundai in Port Coquitlam. Whatever time I have left to spare after all that goes to getting together with friends and catching up. But all in all, that is me in a nut shell. I am available to go for a hot beverage at a nearby coffee shop if you would like to continue to chat. Blessings! |
